The much anticipated movie in the history of India, the ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ got world wise release on 28th April, 2017. This movie titled, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is the sequel of the film ‘Bahubali, the beginning’ which was released in 2015, which had also put its viewer in quandary with the question , ’why did Kattapa kill Baahubali ‘? The film originally produced in Telugu, known as Tollywood, was dubbed in multiple languages. The name ‘Baahubali’ denotes “The One With Strong Arms”, depicts the story of two warring brothers fighting for control of a fictional Indian empire.
The film starred by Prabhas, who portrays the character of Amarendra Baahubali, whereas Rana Daggubati personate as Bhallaladeva, Anushka Shetty as Devasena, Ramya Krishnan as Rajmata Sivagami, Tamannaah as Avanthika and Sathyaraj as Kattappa, is directed by SS Rajamouli. The film in true sense has breached the linguistic barrier with its breath taking performance, the reasons for which people queued for meters in front of the box office for tickets. The films had hit the screens of 9000 cinema halls worldwide. The Baahubali Mania amongst the people was very much palpable on the streets, who flocked to theatres for it, as the first part of it had ended in cliffhanger.
Since its release, the box office collections of the movie are Rs 1047 crores out of which the collection of the Hindi Version stands at Rs 508 crores, thus becoming the first Indian film achieving the feat. Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ in fact also overshadowed the over hyped Bollywood films with his first day collections, thereby beating its blockbuster PK. Not only this Baahubali, has sailed to the top of charts of the US box office records, compelling the Wall Street Journal to term it as India’s Star War, which with Indian superhero had defeated Hollywood competitors at Box Office. It stood third at the US Box office Chart, after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, and The Fate of the Furious.
Baahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli characterizes extravagant fight sequences and computer graphics including rampaging elephants and a bull stamped. This multi linguist movie will all set to be released in China and Japan, whose collections might become precedent in itself.
