Salman Khan Starrer ‘Tubelight’ slated to release on Eid has created buzz by releasing its Poster. According to report, all India distribution rights of ‘Tubelight’ is sold to NH Studioz at Rs 130 crore, and is its right has also been sold in Gujarat and Rajasthan for a record price which has been accorded more Minimum Guarantee (MG) by theatre owners and distributors there than even Aamir Khan’s blockbuster Dangal.
Although the overseas distribution has not been signed by any production house yet but it has surfaced that all big production houses including YRF and Fox Star are lining up for it. The film directed by Kabir Khan, and produced by Salman Khan himself will also feature Shahrukh Khan in a cameo, who would be sharing the screen with Salman after two decades. The film ‘Tubelight’ is a period drama set in the backdrop of 1962 Indo-Sino war, is a love story, where Salman Khan portrays a man with special needs who reportedly sets out in search of his brother who goes missing after the Indo-China war of 1962.
The film Tubelight will be featuring Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in lead apart from Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan. According to Kabir Khan, the director Salman Khan is expected to tour key Chinese cities to promote the film.
